WBCC’s Supplemental Breast Imaging and Insurance Coverage Resource Center
Welcome!
Knowledge is power, and understanding your breast health is an important step toward early detection.
Thanks to years of advocacy, we have made tremendous progress in ensuring that individuals are informed about their breast density and have improved access to medically appropriate supplemental breast imaging. Today, many patients have insurance coverage for supplemental breast imaging through Wisconsin’s Gail’s Law and the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) Women’s Preventive Services Guidelines under the Affordable Care Act.
Whether you’re trying to understand your breast density, determine if supplemental screening is right for you, or navigate your insurance coverage, we’re here to help.
We hope the resources on this page provide you with the education, tools and confidence to make informed decisions and partner with your healthcare team to take charge of your breast health.
